Seals and Sea LionsEvolved from a bear-like ancestor, seals are divided into two groups, eared and earless. Earless seals, such as elephant seals and harp seals, are better swimmers, but have to wiggle to move on land. Eared seals, such as warus and sea lions, can position their legs to move on land more efficiently. |

PenguinsThe Emperor Peguin lays its eggs on the coldest day of the year and the father keeps it on top of his feet and stay awake until it hatches. If the egg sits on the frozen ground, it will freeze solid in less than 20 minutes. |
