Evolved from a bear-like ancestor, seals are divided into two groups, eared and earless. Earless seals, such as elephant seals and harp seals, are better swimmers, but have to wiggle to move on land. Eared seals, such as warus and sea lions, can position their legs to move on land more efficiently.
